The Job:

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing job sites and electrical projects while working closely with a team of Electricians and the Branch Manager. The Project Manager will schedule resources, complete quotes in a timely manner, and maintain customer relationships. It is crucial that our Project Manager promotes a positive company image through consistency, quality, safety, and professionalism.

The Responsibilities:

- Act as a Start ambassador and lead by example
- Train and mentor employees
- Use time on-site or when speaking to customers to seek sales opportunities
- Actively seek out new sales opportunities through networking and maintaining customer accounts
- Work in a safe manner and adhere to all safety policies and procedures
- Manage electrical projects while attaining targets regarding; budget, timeline, and quality requirements
- Review and understand control panels, circuits, and drawings
- Provide quick response to emergency service requirements, this may include shifts outside regular working and weekends
- Perform field work/installations at a manager level
- Complete employee performance reviews, as required
- Travel to the job site for field installation work or to check completed projects, when required
- Other duties as required

The Requirements:

- 5+ years of experience in an industrial electrical setting
- Licensed 309A or equivalent, preferred
- Valid G class driver's license with a clean driving record
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively lead a team
- Additional relevant certificates and training would be considered an asset

The Job:

As an Electrician with Start Electric, you would be responsible for installing electrical systems in accordance with current electrical codes and customer specifications, for performing efficiently and in a safe manner while minimizing customer downtime. It is crucial that our electrician promotes a positive company image through consistency, quality, and professionalism.

The Responsibilities:

- Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations
- Demonstrating your commitment to safety in the workplace
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
- Successfully able to run small jobs in a timely manner with little to no supervision
Installing conduit and wire and terminating conductors
- Troubleshooting circuitry and replacing damaged components on industrial equipment and systems
Installing fixtures and devices for industrial applications and systems such as; Wire motors, beacon lights, photo-eyes, and other control devices
- Ordering required parts and controlling all job materials using our computer system
- Completing work orders as per client specifications and input; reviewing the completed job with the customer, to ensure complete satisfaction
- Installation and maintenance of electrical systems including EMT, PVC, and rigid conduit, cable tray, instrumentation and controls wiring, new service installations, lighting installations, and more
- Building and wiring of electrical control panels

The Requirements:

- A valid 309A electrical license
- Relevant electrical experience, preferably in an industrial setting
- Extensive knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Code (OEC)
- A valid G class driver's license with a clean driving record
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Additional relevant certificates and training would be considered an asset
